I Did My Best . . . Evening Meditation

Always do your best even if you’re crawling at the end of the day.  This is not about punishing yourself. Your best will vary depending on what you’re going through on any given day.

This is not about being perfect. It’s about showing up for the battle even if you have one shoe on.  You showed up and that was half the battle. Celebrate that fact that you showed up.

Remember to always be careful and intentional with your words, with what you say to yourself and about yourself.

Repeating affirmations will condition your mind, rewire your brain, and purify your thoughts as you continue your health and wellness journey.  Affirmations will strengthen you when you are weak.  They will lead you in the direction you want to go. Repeating them regularly will strengthen your “thought muscles.”

It’s the end of the day, the sun is setting. It wasn’t a perfect day, but I did my best.

I showed up and I ran my race. It wasn’t a perfect day, but I did my best.

I dragged myself to the gym at 6 am. I went through the motions on the treadmill. It wasn’t a perfect day, but I did my best.

Someone tried to trip me up and I stumbled. It wasn’t a perfect day, but I did my best.

My diet went well until noon. It wasn’t a perfect day, but I did my best.

I tried to slay dragons and got my butt kicked. It wasn’t a perfect day, but I did my best.

I bowed my head, admitted my mistakes, and vowed to do my best. It wasn’t a perfect day, but I did my best.

I DID MY BEST

As you put your head on the pillow tonight, say. “I did my best.”
